Transporting bikes in a pickup truck should be simple. In reality, most riders end up choosing between two imperfect options – resting bikes over the tailgate, or hanging them off the back of the truck on a hitch rack. Both get the job done, but they each come with compromises.
We’ve been thinking about this problem for a while – ever since we bought our own Hilux. After 31 iterations, we’ve built something we’re really proud of.

What is the BikeStow Storm – Three?
The Storm – Three is our first waterproof truck bed bike rack, designed specifically for pickup trucks and heavy outdoor use. It’s the outdoor evolution of our well-loved Original in-van rack – with the same patented wheel-supported geometry, rebuilt with a heavy-duty weatherproof construction and stainless steel hardware to live outside permanently.
It’s freestanding, folds flat, and secures to your truck bed with just two cargo straps. No drilling. No hitch receiver. No permanent installation. No front wheel removal. No fuss!
Simply unfold, attach the cargo straps, load your bikes and you’re good to go.

No Frame Contact. No Compromise.
The biggest issue with tailgate pads isn’t the pad – it’s that your frame is resting against fabric and grit for the entire drive. On a carbon road bike or an expensive suspension, that’s not a trade-off worth making.
The Storm – Three doesn’t touch your frame at all.
Our patented V-slider wheel support system holds each bike at three equidistant contact points around the wheel – keeping bikes upright, stable, and completely separated throughout the journey. No contact with paintwork. No bikes rubbing together on the highway.
Compatible with road bikes, gravel bikes, mountain bikes, trail and enduro bikes, full-suspension bikes and e-bikes – wheel sixes 26″ – 29″ with tyres up to 3″ wide.
Inside the Bed. Not hanging Off the Back
Unlike hitch racks, the Storm – Three carries all three bikes entirely within your truck bed. The difference matters:
- Your hitch stays free – tow a trailer, camper or anything else without unloading bikes firrst
- Rear cameras and sensors stay clear – no obstructions, no turning off parking alerts
- Bikes stay clean – no exposure to road oil, spray or debris. Brake discs stay clean too.
- No rear overhand – easier to park, easier to manoeuvre, no issues on steep driveways or tight trails
3-in-1 Bike Rack: Transport, Storage and Wash Stand
The Storm – Three is designed to be useful before, during anf after every ride – not just on travel days.
Transport – unfold, strap it into the truck bed with two cargo straps, carry up to three bikes inside with zero frame contact.
Bike wash stand – the Storm – Three is fully waterproof, so leave your bikes on it and hose everything down right after a ride in your driveway. No separate stand needed. No leaning bikes against a wall.
Storage rack – take it out of the truck and it becomes a freestanding storage rack in the garage, at a race venue, on a campsite, or wherever you need bikes kept upright and out of the way.
From Sea Otter Classic to Production
The Storm made its first public appearance at Sea Otter Classic earlier this year. Feedback from riders at the event helped shape the final production version.
It ships 99% assembled, with all stainless steel hardware and UV resistant, weatherproof construction. Built to stay in your truck bed or the outdoors full-time, in all conditions, without any special care.

Like everything we make, the Storm – Three is manufactured by our family team in our Stourbridge unit. It carries our Patent, Registered Design and Registered Trademark.
