Created initially as a solution to our own family bike-van problem, the BikeStow Original “blurs the lines between designer furniture and logistics” (MBR). Plywood Bike Rack for Inside Van
The brushed aluminium ‘v’ sliders and locking thumb screws mean your bikes will always be held firmly no matter the wheel diameter or tyre width. When not in use, the cross supporting ‘dog bone’ lifts up and the rack folds flat for easy storage, with magnets keeping it neatly closed. The CNC routed and hand finished laminated plywood construction is sure to look slick with any setup. Perfectly machined and expertly chamfered, the ellipse lap joints add an artful finish to the ‘thunk’ quality of the design. Lovingly family made in Stourbridge, UK.
BikeStow Tilting Fork Mount: Compact Van & Camper Bike Storage
The Tilting Fork Mount is the result of (son & co-founder) George’s engineering dissertation at Loughborough University which aimed to develop a solution for smaller vans, campers, or vehicles such as our own little VW Caddy.
Internal Bike Mount for Van
Typically fork mounts cause the bike to lean over when you turn the handlebars which leads to clashes with other bikes, takes up more space, and adds unwanted strain to your bike. This is due to the head angle and geometry of the bike, which makes the front-axle tilt and no longer be parallel to the ground once the handlebars are turned.
Our new Tilting Fork Mount compensates for this with its patent-pending tilting design to match the angle of the axle! This means you can fit multiple bikes close together or into tight spaces, reduce handlebar clashes, and minimise the footprint used.
